明朝宫廷与佛教关系研究
Du Changshun
Based on an extensive collection of historical materials, this book examines in detail the relationship between the Ming Dynasty court, with the royal family as the main body, and Buddhism, as well as the historical process of the growth and decline of Buddhism's influence in the Ming Dynasty palace. It focuses on the various manifestations, causes and effects of the Ming Dynasty emperors' advocating, worshiping and indulging in Buddhism. It also conducts a more in-depth analysis of the Buddhist beliefs of the eunuchs in the palace and the relationship between the eunuchs, Buddhist temples and monks. The book also uses some newly excavated historical materials to sort out the relationship between the Ming Dynasty court and Tibetan Buddhism, especially the "Xitian Sect", which was rarely understood in the past.
