The story takes place in the future. Through several generations of human exploration, humans have mastered the technology of superimposing time and space, touching and living in distant deep space. This vast area containing known and unknown star systems is called "The Frontier." Most people will never travel to this area far away from "normal civilization", but for pioneers, travelers, explorers, mercenaries and outlaws, "frontier" means "opportunity" in addition to risks.
