The compilation of "Sima Qian and "Historical Records" Research Yearbook" began at the end of 2004. After the 2004 volume of "Annals" was published in August 2005, it received unanimous praise from the historical records research community. After that, one volume was published every year to sort out and summarize the results of the previous year's "Historical Records" research. The 2013 volume of the "Yearbook" basically maintains the column framework and editing style of the previous volumes, and makes additions and innovations on this basis. The proportion of original content has been increased, and researchers have been organized to write chapters such as a review of Sima Qian's research, a review of historical records, and a review of research on "Huozhi Biography" in the past ten years. It has also added introductions to academic conferences over the years, a catalog index of research works from 1949 to 2004, and added an addendum to the catalog of papers from 1994 to 2013. The book contains 300,000 words in 16 pages, integrating tools, information and knowledge. It is divided into seven parts: research review, archaeological discovery and research, edition compilation and research, abstracts of works and papers, academic organizations and experts, and index of papers and works.
