This book is the result of the author's continuous thinking and accumulation of Burmese folk narrative literature for more than ten years. The author went to Myanmar three times to conduct field research between 2008 and 2018, and the folk narrative literature works in the book all come from this. When collecting these folk narrative literary works, the author not only recorded the content of the relevant works, but also recorded the entire performance process and related context, in order to faithfully reproduce the folk life and spiritual world of the local people. During the analysis process, we adhere to the folklore context theory as the research perspective, aiming to reveal the cultural connotation, social content and historical roots of Burmese folk narrative literature, and strive to display the charm and value of Burmese folk narrative literature in a multi-dimensional and three-dimensional way.
