In the future era, most of the top human beings created and changed their own genes to become new humans, referred to as demi-humans, while civilians had no chance of this. Until the emergence of "black energy", the genes of organisms exposed to black energy mutated. In order to resist the attacks of mutated organisms, humans developed armors, and humans infected with black energy were pushed out by others to the desolate wilderness and were called "foreigners".
