"Macao Historical Documents Translated" (Third Series) is the sequel to the information album "Macao's Hong Kong Chinese Laborers Sending Abroad". It collects the local historical documents of Macao's Chinese laborers going abroad from 1872 to 1874 that the translator has seen. The documents are divided into eight parts: the instructions and regulations on the overseas Chinese workers in Macao, the statistical reports on the overseas Chinese workers in Macao, the documents of the Macao Colonial Secretary, the official documents on the repatriation and handover of Chinese workers arriving in Macao, the documents of the Bureau of Supervision of the Chinese Workers in Macao, the documents of the Consulate General of Portugal in Havana, Andres Islands, the documents of the Consulate General of Portugal in Peru, and the documents of the Macao Shipyard. Based on this batch of documents, many aspects of the history of Chinese laborers going abroad in Macau Port can be clarified.

The fourth volume of "Macao Historical Documents and Translations" is the special report part of the "Macao Chinese Laborers Sending Overseas" information album. It includes the "Macao Chinese Workers Overseas Report" submitted to the Governor of Macao by Pereira, the Supervisor of Macao's Chinese Workers Overseas in 1861, and the "Conditions for Guaranteeing the Implementation of Immigration" submitted by the Committee to the Macao Governor in 1871. "Report on Measures to Be Taken for and Freedom", "Report on Minors Going Abroad in Macau Port" submitted by Macau Huazheng Director Basdu to the Governor of Macau in 1872, "Report and Documents on the Abolition of the Macau Port Contract for Chinese Workers Going Abroad" submitted to the Portuguese Parliament by Corvo, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Overseas Affairs of Portugal in 1874, etc. This batch of documents is conducive to a comprehensive study of Chinese workers going abroad.
