The ultimate result of reading history is to be able to gain some insights and experience from it, and to integrate history with your own thoughts, only then can you truly understand history. Reading history requires a certain amount of knowledge. Don't be blinded by certain historical conclusions and historical phenomena, and re-examine these historical phenomena; you must change some traditional narratives of history and have a clear understanding of them; you must be good at summarizing corresponding laws and drawing certain conclusions based on your own experience and the historical background at that time; you must also step out of your own daily life experience and view history at a higher level; you must learn to combine the historical knowledge and wisdom you read with your own real life, and be able to fully apply it. If you can do this, although you cannot truly understand history, you can still be considered to be able to "understand history."
