The original name of this book is "Xiu Ru Ji". There have always been different opinions about its original author, and there is no conclusion. Today, the editor of "Ten Chinese Tragedies and Comedies" published by Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House in 1989 identified him as an anonymous person from the Ming Dynasty. When I was rewriting it, I renamed it "Qujiang Singer". This is because the original name is difficult to understand, not popular and loud, and because someone has changed it to this name. I think "The Songstress of Qujiang" highlights the identity of the heroine and is defined by place names, making it popular and loud. Li Yaxian was born in the Tang Dynasty and was a famous singing girl in Quchi Scenic Area in Chang'an, the capital. She fell in love sincerely with the scholar Zheng Yuanhe. Even when Zheng Yuanhe was so poor that he became a street beggar, and even when his father Zheng Dan, who was a prefect, beat him to death and abandoned him, Li Yaxian still resuscitated him and loved him as before; in the end, he persuaded and encouraged him to study hard and become the top scholar in high school.
