Nalan Xingde, formerly known as Nalan Chengde, was born in the capital on the twelfth day of the twelfth lunar month of the Jiawu lunar calendar in the 11th year of Shunzhi, which was January 19, 1655 in the Gregorian calendar. In March of the same year, Xuanye, the holy ancestor of the Qing Dynasty, was born. If based on the old calendar, he would be the same age as Chengde. The close relationship between the two in the future seems to have been determined for a long time.
