The center of Qing history research is in China, and there is no doubt that excellent monographs on Qing history should be written by Chinese historians. However, this does not exclude understanding and selectively absorbing the positive results of foreign scholars' research, timely introduction and analysis of academic trends, cutting-edge issues, hot issues and important results of overseas Qing history research, and strengthening exchanges between Qing history research scholars at home and abroad.
