When a person reaches fifty, time has settled and his mind becomes calmer. After half a lifetime of ups and downs, I have seen separations and reunions, tasted warmth and coldness, and have many words hidden in my heart that I have not told anyone. I am writing prose now, not to gain fame, but to let the years pass by and record the true feelings and insights in the ordinary fireworks. The writing does not seek to be gorgeous, but to be sincere and simple, slowly writing half a lifetime's thoughts and the taste of human life into the page, leaving a period of time for myself, and also leaving a tenderness for the future.
