In order to further promote the humanitarian spirit, review the glorious history of the development of the cause of disabled people in China, and preserve a rich and valuable historical data and information for the development of the cause, the Party Committee and Council of the China Disabled Persons' Federation decided to collect literature and materials and edit and publish the "When the Spring Breeze Blows" series of books. The 2014 volume of "Songs of Self-Strength" is organized by the China Disabled Persons' Federation and invites 42 outstanding reportage writers from all over the country to conduct in-depth interviews with the touching deeds of 28 self-improvement models of the disabled group who have made outstanding contributions to all walks of life in the motherland who have been interviewed by party and state leaders, 5 advanced disability aid groups, 7 advanced individuals in aiding the disabled, and 2 advanced workers in the National Disabled Persons' Federation system. Writing tells the story of the difficult growth experiences of those self-improvement models and their struggle to not succumb to unfortunate fate, fight tenaciously and demonstrate the value of life, as well as their broad-mindedness to repay the society, country and people with selfless dedication after their own success.
