This book is one of the "Japanese Literature Series". It is a collection of 50 book reviews, prefaces and essays written by Professor Cheng Zhangcan, director of the Institute of Classical Literature of Nanjing University. There are six volumes in the book, which are divided into the following categories: The Relationship between Teachers and Friends, The Wind of Dance, Reading Comic Reviews, Self-written Postscripts, Editing and Proofreading, and the Translator's Words. The first and second series are both prefaces to other people's books, the third series are book reviews, and the fourth to sixth series are prefaces and postscripts to one's own books. Although the names are different, they are all centered on books. They talk about reading, compiling, annotating, proofreading, reviewing, reviewing, writing, talking about issues related to books, commenting on knowledge related to books, and remembering scholars related to books.
