Furnace Worker
General Fiction炉前工
Cheng Yingbing
Li Qiang woke up from the heat. After waking up, he turned over on the bench and found that it had snowed outside. He sat up and fainted for a while, then remembered that he was now in the iron factory team lounge. He looked at his watch, it was two o'clock in the morning, seven hours after he came on duty at seven o'clock last night. Thinking of this, Li Qiang quickly put on his cotton work clothes and safety helmet and got on the blast furnace platform. There was a strong wind on the stove, and the outdoor heating trap was spraying steam. He looked up at the roof of the factory, and saw snowflakes falling down from the gaps between the colored steel tiles. Those snowflakes disappeared before they fell to the ground, and there were no traces of snow on the platform, but there were still large swaths of snowflakes coming in from the roof of the factory. Li Qiang looked at the snowflakes and felt sad when he thought that he was still on duty alone in such a cold weather.

Dance of Bees
General Fiction蜜蜂的舞蹈
Cheng Yingbing
I would like to say that I am just a survivor of marriage, or a survivor of disaster. But I didn't say anything after all. I was afraid of spoiling her mood, so I quickly walked a few steps and entered the service hall. Sitting on the chair in the marriage registration office, I looked up and saw a bright red banner reading "May all lovers in the world get married" hanging on the wall opposite. The staff are skilled in their actions and the procedures are standardized. At that moment, I didn't think about anything. I stared blankly at the staff member, watching her put a photo of us on the marriage certificate, and then watching her put a stamp on my face.

Running All the Way to the Winter Solstice
General Fiction一路狂奔到冬至
Cheng Yingbing
Suddenly I thought of Wuhan. This city seemed so far away in my mind at this time that I couldn't immediately picture the outline of the three sectors in my mind. It was too big and too noisy. The tall plane trees not only blocked the sky, but also blocked the sweat stains and hot noise all over the street. I came up with this idea on a cold winter day, and I still remember that day was the "winter solstice". It was a meal that started at noon.
