This book conducts zoning, staging and chronological research on the Neolithic cultural relics in the Lingnan area, and establishes the spatio-temporal framework of the Neolithic culture in the region. Integrate evidence such as animal, plant and tool remains to conduct a systematic analysis of the livelihood methods of each culture within the framework. On this basis, the Neolithic evolution process in the Lingnan region from a broad-spectrum gathering, fishing and hunting economy to rice cultivation or a specialized fishing and hunting economy is discussed. Finally, a comparative analysis is conducted with the evolution of Neolithic livelihoods in other regions to explore the common rules and regional differences in the evolution of Neolithic livelihoods.
