This book is divided into four chapters: a study of Han Yuefu titles, a study of Han Yuefu music and orchestration, a study of Han Yuefu styles, and a study of Han Yuefu themes. It cross-references unearthed documents and handed down documents from aspects such as titles, orchestration, styles, and themes. It studies Han Yuefu in the context of the development of poetry in the pre-Qin and Han Dynasties, and strives to reveal the quality of Han Yuefu in terms of music and literature, as well as its unique style of the times, and to reflect on its causes.
