Chang Qinyi's "Luo Binji: A Model of Modern Chinese Writers in the Current of Times and Politics" is one of the research volumes of the "Northeast Exile Literature Historical Materials and Research Series" edited by Zhang Fugui. The book has about 200,000 words, including "Recording the "Synchronic" Feelings with Time", "Characterizing the "Synchronic" Thinking with the Times", and "Exploring the "Synchronic" Distance with Politics", etc. Through the investigation and discussion of Luo Binji's career as a writer, scholar and his works in the past 60 years, the book points out that he has quite comprehensive and exemplary "synchronic" and "transversal" characteristics among modern and contemporary Chinese writers.
