The manuscript of "The Heir" is a full-length novel, telling the touching story of "I" who was once adopted into a relative's home and carried two families on his back. "I" have three brothers in my family, but my cousin has no children. After discussion between the two families, "I" was adopted to my cousin's family. Later, my cousin gave birth to a son, so I returned to my home. What I thought was the beginning of happiness, my cousin's family encountered misfortunes one after another. The daughter's marriage was unhappy and she was sentenced to fifteen years in prison for negligent injury. After she was released from prison, she was discriminated against again and her body became disabled due to work-related injuries. My cousin accidentally encountered a poisonous snake while collecting medicine and died. The son accidentally died due to drinking too much, and the cousin became a loner. In gratitude for my cousin's kindness and care, "I" took on the responsibility of caring for her until she died, and the two families became one family from then on.
