This book is mainly based on "Historical Records" and "Yunmeng Qin Slips", and uses virtual dialogue to deduce the process of Shang Yang's reform. It is incredible but does not violate historical records and historical common sense. The book begins with Shang Yang being forced to rebel, and elaborates on the significance of Shang Yang's emphasis on agriculture and suppression of business, his accusations of traitors, and his burning of poems and books. It explores the reasons behind historical records such as Qin Xiaogong abdicated to Shang Yang, Shang Yang capturing the prince Yin, Gongshu Cuo ostracizing Wu Qi, and King Qin Huiwen's car splitting Shang Yang.
