This book is a collection of essays in memory of the opera director Mr. Xie Pingan. It consists of three parts: "Talk about Xie Pingan", "Talk about Xie Pingan" and "Appendix". "Talking about Xie Ping'an" is a record of the author's own memories, from learning opera to having his own understanding and opinions on opera; "Talking about Xie Ping'an" is divided into various types of operas, and consists of different opera people's memories of Director Xie; "Appendix" contains Director Xie's director's notes, his exclusive interviews, and his opera chronology. The manuscript has sincere emotions, clear layers, general tone and details. It vividly displays Mr. Xie Ping'an's low-key but glorious life and allows us to get to know such a director who has pushed traditional opera to the forefront of the times.
