This is the true story of Yilin, her sister Qingya, and her sister Xiaowan working together to take care of their mother suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Yilin's mother suffers from Alzheimer's disease. The former "omnipotent super mother" has become an ignorant old man who has been stripped of his memory, emotions and normal cognitive abilities. As an illustrator, Yilin tries to use painting to help her mother resist forgetfulness and retain memories. Seeing her mother being reminded of the past scenes in the painting and saying "I still remember", Yilin was deeply touched, so she insisted on painting a picture for her mother every day, depicting the time when her parents loved each other, the story of the three sisters when they were young, and the ideals of her mother... Yilin also encouraged her mother to draw a picture. When she started painting, her mother sometimes copied Yilin's paintings, and sometimes sketched the flowers and plants in the painter's paintings; she painted portraits of the three sisters when they were young. However, Yilin saw the changes that art had brought to her mother, whose spiritual world was becoming increasingly desolate, so she named this series of paintings "Awakening Mother's Memory."
