This book takes Kalquga Township, Yuli County, Xinjiang as an example, and places the evolution of the traditional culture and ethnic identity of the Luobu people in a dynamic historical process from the mid-19th century to the present. By combining the process theory of history and the cultural theory of anthropology, it explains the ins and outs of the Luobu people and their cultural evolution living in different times and spaces. The book points out that the deterioration of the ecological environment has caused the Rob people to lose the original survival basis of their traditional culture. Under the guidance of national political and economic policies, their cultural form has been increasingly replaced by mainstream Uyghur culture, and their ethnic identity has also shown a trend of Uyghurization. This book provides an important reference for the study of the traditional culture of the Luo Bu people and its evolution.
