This book is a collection of essays by Patrick Gerry, an outstanding expert on European medieval history. The collected essays cover the main aspects of his academic career in the past half century, involving many important fields such as ethnic consciousness, social change, cultural structure, historical memory, nationalism, and the historical application of genetic technology.
