When she was twelve years old, Katie Love had a near-death experience. When she grew up, she had a child of her own and her father died of natural causes without warning. She didn't get to see him again. Since then, death began to attract her strongly, and she decided to explore the truth about the moments after life by studying death. She calls it: viewing death. Love believes that if capturing death in words is nearly impossible, they are the ones who might be able to do it. Through extensive conversations with relatives and close friends of the artist before his death, and by combing through voluminous written materials, she captured the last moments of the writers on the page.
