Unlike most other biographies of Marie Antoinette, the author of this book, Caroline Weber, takes a unique approach. From the perspective of clothing politics, she traces Marie's life journey from the time she set foot on French soil at the age of 14 until she was executed by revolutionaries at the age of 38. At the same time, she also retells the background and process of the outbreak of the French Revolution from this unique perspective. In the author's opinion, due to the inheritance of royal heirs, France's suspicion of Austria, and France's internal political struggles, Mary was lonely and helpless.
