Stim Schip Van Dien is a literary magazine editor. He began to engage in literary creation after middle age, and successively created a series of detective novels such as "Game of Death" and "God's Redemption". His works immediately caused a huge sensation in Western society after they were published, causing the publisher to set the highest sales record again and again. This ushered in the golden age of American mystery detective literature. The protagonist Philo Vance created by Van Dien in his novel has the dual identity of an art connoisseur and an amateur detective.
