This is a true story about the relationship between humans and dogs. Rob, an American veteran, fell into a low point in his life: his career was not going well, his marriage was broken up, family relations were strained, and his closest brother had long since passed away. Only Bella, a Labrador retriever he had adopted for many years, stayed with him. In May of that year, Bella suffered from bone cancer and had to undergo amputation. The doctor determined that Bella only had three to six months left to live. With no way out, Rob saw that Bella was still lively and happy. He made a decision: to quit the rented house, take his only savings, and drive around the United States with Bella along the coastline. In the fall of 2015, they set out. Along the way, they passed through 32 states, climbed mountains, watched the sea, and watched the sunset. They also met many kind and warm strangers during the journey. Rob earns travel expenses by selling his photography, and he and Bella sleep in the car to save money. Perhaps it was Rob's abundant love that gave Bella strong vitality. Their journey lasted almost a year. In October 2016, the cancer cells in Bella's body spread rapidly, and there was no time for any treatment. Bella was euthanized by the veterinarian in Rob's warm but trembling arms. Rob continued on the journey with Bella's ashes. At the end of the journey, Rob scattered Bella's ashes into the sea, which was Bella's favorite place. During this journey, Rob learned to accompany and cherish, and he also learned to cherish life even more. He got out of the trough of life, became positive and optimistic, slowly found new love, and adopted a new pet dog. But Bella will always have a special place in his heart.
