Loving someone is meaningless to me, just like a person without taste buds becoming a food connoisseur, or a color blind person becoming a painter. I was born with a rare disease and live in a sterile, insulating glass house. Books, nurses, and mother are all I have. That day, I saw him, a boy with honey-colored skin and a dimple when he smiled. He was so free, just like the sunshine in Hawaii, which made me realize that the life I learned from books was all illusory. I have been dreaming of seeing the outside world all my life, and his appearance finally gave me the courage. It was an adventure and escape for love. Even if I had to pay the small price of death, I would understand what living is. Yes, only by trying my best to live once can I make this short life worthwhile.
