Every Moment (original Movie of the Same Name)
General Fiction时时刻刻(同名电影原著)
(us) Michael Cunningham
The book won the 1998 Pulitzer Prize and the PEN Faulkner Award. The film of the same name, starring Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore, and Meryl Streep, won the Golden Globe Award for Best Picture, and Nicole Kidman won the Oscar for Best Actress for the film. Virginia Woolf, affected by severe schizophrenia, was conceiving her new novel "Mrs. Dalloway"; Clarissa, a publishing editor in New York in the 1990s, was called "Mrs. Dalloway" by the poet friend Thomas. She held a party for Thomas, but witnessed Thomas commit suicide by jumping off the building that night; Mrs. Brown, a housewife living in California after World War II, the reader of "Mrs. Dalloway" longed to get rid of her boring life. The day of three women is composed into a work about human loss, despair, fear, longing and love. Cunningham relies on the subtle connections between the three people to juxtapose the three eras in the same time dimension, and thinks about the value of women and the nature of life through parallel narratives.

All the Time
General Fiction时时刻刻
(us) Michael Cunningham
In 1923, Woolf conceived her new novel "Mrs. Dalloway" in the suburbs of London. Considered a talented writer by the world, she was suffering from mental illness and just wanted to end her life as soon as possible. In Los Angeles in 1949, Laura Brown, a housewife who lived a happy life in the eyes of others, felt that she was about to be suffocated in her marriage. She secretly read Mrs. Dalloway in an attempt to break free from the prison in front of her. In New York at the end of the 20th century, Clarissa Vaughn, a book editor nicknamed "Mrs. Dalloway", walked out of her apartment to plan a celebration party for her first love, the award-winning writer Richard. She wanted to take care of everyone around her, but she often ignored her own feelings and was in great pain. Three women from different time and space with different identities were supposed to live independently, but their destinies intertwined and collided because of the same novel. In the end, they chose to put aside the expectations of their relatives and lovers and create a truly meaningful life for themselves.
