"A Little Book of Christmas" was written in the early 20th century, when the Christmas atmosphere was much stronger than it is today. American writer John Bunce vividly tells the story of that authentic Christmas and the deep warmth it exudes through several short stories. John Kendrick Bangs, American writer and famous media personality, was born in New York State in 1862. He graduated from Columbia University in 1883. In 1884, he became the deputy editor of Life magazine. He later served as editor of Harper's Magazine, Harper's Bazaar, and Harper's Young. People), and in 1904 he went to the United States to serve as editor-in-chief of Puck, the top humor magazine at the time. Soon thereafter, Bangs began to regain his early interest in drama, and began a lecture tour in 1906. He died of illness in 1922.
