This book collects five of Shakespeare's dramatic works, including his famous "Four Tragedies" "Hamlet", "Othello" and "Macbeth", the early love tragedy "Romeo and Juliet" and the comedy "A Midsummer Night's Dream". The Four Tragedies are Shakespeare's second period works. Their creation marks the author's in-depth thinking about the times and life, and he strives to shape some tragic protagonists in the new era: they wake up from the imprisonment and ignorance of the Middle Ages. Under the dawn of modern times, people who are ambitious to develop or improve themselves, but find it difficult to overcome the limitations of the times and themselves, finally suffer inevitable failure and sacrifice in the struggle against the disparity in strength of the environment and internal hostile forces. In order to avenge his father, Hamlet discovered that there was something wrong with the entire era, and decided to take up the responsibility of "restoring the world." However, his ambition was empty and he was unable to reverse it.
