Robot scientist Peter was diagnosed with motor neuron disease (MND), commonly known as "ALS" in 2017. He was told the condition would damage his brain and nerve cells, cause all muscles to atrophy, and kill him in about two years. He may only live until the end of 2019. Peter refused to give in to fate. He did not want to lose the things he loved, his family, friends, and the ability to travel the world.
