This book is set in a future era where resources are increasingly depleted. In order to continue human survival, governments of various countries force citizens to make a choice at the age of 17. Choose one of the four categories of hedonists, biochemicals, symbionts, and workers to become their future lives. The hedonists are provided with bonuses by the government and have no worries about food and clothing, but they can only live until the age of 42; the biochemical people can live for 80 years, but they are self-reliant in food and clothing; the symbiotic people have a lifespan of 142 years, but five people need to share one body at a time; the laborers have no life limit, but they need to work continuously. The story takes place in one of the symbionts: the strong Mike, the timid Alex, the inferior Ben, the wanton Silas, and the kind-hearted Kate. When the first period of life was about to end, these five people decided to go to Death Park to participate in the game, using their lifespan as a bet to win more survival time. However, things started when one of them received a challenge from an unknown person when using his body, and it was beyond the control of several people. It seems that there is a murderer among these five people, and he wants to kill the other people.
