At the end of 2019, the writer GMB was intensively researching the "most dangerous person" in Britain in the 1960s - psychiatrist Braithwaite. At this time, he received a package containing 5 notebooks, which recorded the story of a young woman: In London in 1965, she suspected that Braithwaite had killed her. Her sister, Veronica, pretended to be a mental patient and went to his consulting room under the pseudonym "Rebecca" to find out what was going on. However, she soon realized that the development of the situation was gradually beyond her control... After some thought, GMB decided to publish the contents of the notebook and its own research on Braithwaite as a book to faithfully present it to readers. In 2021, the sender of the package offered to meet with him, but he discovered that the truth of all this was far beyond his expectation... In this book within a book, real characters and fictional characters appear in turns, historical events and imaginary plots are intertwined. We cannot trust anyone or anything, including our own judgment.
