How did the residents of the ancient Nile region view the world around them? This simple little book in hand attempts to outline the answer for us. The book consists of three parts. "The Age of the Gods" tells the birth and evolution of the world, as well as the rule of the Egyptian god-kings; "The World of the Living" tells us how the Egyptian gods manifested themselves in nature, and how the Egyptians dealt with the invisible forces around them; "The Myth of Death" tells the ancient Egyptians' belief in the afterlife (i. E. Duat), as well as the hardships they will experience in it and their final fate.
