The book is divided into five parts: "Yangtze Landscapes", "The Beauty of Beijing", "Chinese Landscape Paintings", "North and South China", and illustrations from the book "Women in the Chinese Courtyard". "Yangtze Scenery" was first published in 1926 and contains 50 photos of the Yangtze and Three Gorges scenery, including 12 hand-colored photos. It can be called a masterpiece of Chinese photographic art, and the author was nominated for election to the Royal Geographical Society. "The Beauty of Beijing" was first published in 1920, and contains 66 photos of Beijing during the Beiyang period, recording the final glory of Beijing during the changing times. In September 2008, the National Library of China and the British Library jointly hosted the photo exhibition "1860-1930: Old Chinese Photos from the British Collection", and 30 photos from "Beijing's Beauty" were featured as the finale. "Chinese Landscape Painting" and "South and North of China" were both first published in the 1920s, each containing 30 folklore photos of scenery in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Ningbo and other places. "Women in the Chinese Garden" was first published in 1914 and contains 12 photos reflecting the customs and customs of the Jiangnan water town.
