This book mainly collects Rossetti's representative works, including the extremely educational "Goblin Fair", the innocent "Birthday", and the soul-exploring "From House to Home", which presents Rossetti's poetic world in many aspects. From the poems in the anthology, it can be seen that her lyric poems are simple and delicate, with sad and moving emotions and full of musical rhythm. Her poetry is sometimes very sentimental in tone, but very rigorous in form and word choice. Many of her poems also have a sense of humor, which moderates her sentimentality and balances the contradictions.
