In recent years, academic interest in the sociology of childhood has grown, and this book aims to introduce the main developments in this field of research. Based on contemporary sociological and anthropological research, this book establishes the connection between childhood studies and sociological theory, presents its historical, political and cultural dimensions, and reveals the socially constructed characteristics of childhood through in-depth analysis of its social structural characteristics and its daily life context.
