"Reading Zhang Ji Ancient Yuefu" was written around the ninth year of Yuanhe (814). Zhang Ji (768? ~ 830?), Named Wenchang, was originally from Wujun (the county governed Suzhou, Jiangsu), and later moved to Hezhou (now Hexian, Anhui). In the 15th year of Zhenyuan, he was awarded the title of Taizhu of Taichang Temple. He was promoted to Secretary Lang and Doctor of the Imperial College. The world is called Zhang Shuibu or Zhang Siye. Because of his poor family background and low official position, he understood the sufferings of the lower class, so his poems mostly wrote about the social reality at that time. He grew up in Yuefu and is as famous as Wang Jian, and is also known as "Zhang Wang Yuefu". There is "Zhang Siye's Poetry Collection" handed down to the world. Together with "Yuan Bai", Li Shen and Wang Jian, he actively advocated the "New Yuefu Movement" to reflect the suffering of people's livelihood. Bai Juyi spoke highly of his Yuefu poems. A lot of mutual gifts. "Yuefu" was originally a music institution established by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. It was responsible for collecting and sorting out folk and literati poems, and accompanying them with musical scores for the imperial court to sing and perform at sacrifices or banquets.
