"Air Letters" is a collection of correspondence between Nobel Prize winner Tranströmer and the famous American poet Robert Bly. In nearly thirty years of correspondence, the two poets fully expressed their respective philosophy of poetry creation and poetry translation, exchanged their thoughts on the changes in world affairs from the 1960s to the 1980s, and shared every detail of their daily lives and emotional worlds. This is an important basis for studying the aesthetics of their poetry and a historical witness to their sincere friendship.
