A summer night in St. Petersburg is as bright as day. A lonely young man with nothing to do met a girl by the river who he fell in love with at first sight. They met for a walk and chat on the river embankment, and slowly told each other's thoughts. The young man fell into incredible love, but the girl kept her promise to another person. During these four nights, their thoughts changed a thousand times, as blurry as the sky in Petersburg. At the moment when the girl finally gave up her heart and decided to walk hand in hand with the young man, the man she had been waiting for for a year appeared... "White Nights" is Dostoevsky's important early work and his most praised novella. This charming little story is unique in the world with its bright colors, exquisite language and poetic emotional atmosphere like a boy in spring. It has become the most adapted into movies among Dostoevsky's works.
