M. L. Titarenko, Doctor of Philosophy, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, meritorious scientific activist of the Russian Federation, director of the Far Eastern Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and chairman of the Russia-China Friendship Association. He was born in 1934, graduated from the Philosophy Department of Moscow State University in 1956, and went to the Philosophy Department of Peking University for further study in 1957, where he studied under Feng Youlan. He is an expert on the history of Chinese philosophy, Chinese politics and practical issues, Russia and countries in the Asia-Pacific region, and Russia-China relations. He has written more than 200 books (articles), such as "China: Civilization and Reform", "The Tradition of Chinese Sociopolitics and Political Culture", "Peace, Security and Cooperation Issues in the Asia-Pacific and Far East Region", "Russia and East Asia: Issues in the Relationship between International and Civilizations", etc. This library includes abstracts of his works, which mainly translate and introduce his systematic views and articles on the influence of ancient Chinese philosophical tradition on contemporary Chinese culture.
