"Far Eastern Orientalism: A Historical Overview" describes the history of the development of Oriental studies in the Far East from the early twentieth century to the mid-twentieth century. This book systematically sorts out the development and historical evolution of Oriental studies in the Far East. It not only brings universities and academic groups in the Russian Far East into the research field, but also includes the academic activities of Russian expatriates outside the region. This book constructs the theoretical system, discourse system and academic system of Far Eastern Orientalism for the first time, and puts forward the assertion that Far Eastern Orientalism is an integral part of Russian Orientalism.
