Three Hundred Tang Poems

(qing Dynasty) Selected Retired Scholars From Hengtang, Editor-in-chief Silu

299K01

This book adopts the selected version of "Three Hundred Tang Poems" by the Qing Dynasty writer Hengtang Tuishi (Sun Zhu), and the title and order have not been changed. Translation into new poetry is the focus of this book. For the convenience of readers' reading and understanding, an introduction to the poet, a brief "explanation" of the ideas and artistic features of the original work, and annotations of word allusions are also added. This book was co-written by Wu Kunding, Tao Wenpeng, and Zhang Hougan. However, there is a general division of labor, so there are naturally differences in translation styles. Some translations are as close as possible to the original poems in terms of lines and even rhyme; others use their imaginations and make some reasonable developments. This also takes into account that there is no need to artificially set a pattern and avoid being the same, in order to achieve a fresh, lively and "colorful" effect.
