"Selected Poems from the Four Schools of Song Dynasty" and "Ci Bian" were written by Zhou Ji, a famous lyricist in the Qing Dynasty. They have attracted the attention of the world since their publication and can be regarded as the masterpiece of the Changzhou Ci School. The former uses 51 famous poets from the Song Dynasty, who belong to the four families of Zhou Bangyan, Xin Qiji, Wang Yisun, and Wu Wenying, to select classic works and comment on them; the latter focuses more on the theoretical construction of Ci, among which "Jie Cunzhai's Miscellaneous Works on Ci" is full of famous quotes. It is a must-read masterpiece in the study of the history of Chinese Ci, and is often cited by various histories of Ci and even literary history. Comparing it with the whole book can gain a more comprehensive and practical understanding. For this publication, "Selected Poems from Four Families of the Song Dynasty" is from Pan Zuyinpang Xizhai's version, and "Ci Bian" is from Tan Xian's critical edition. The comments and highlights of the original books are all retained, and the selected words are based on the separate collections of each school. Attached are four biographies of Zhou Ji and an index of selected words from the entire book for the convenience of readers.
