"Generals of the Yang Family", also known as "Zhibiography of the Northern Song Dynasty" and "Romance of the Generals of the Yang Family", consists of ten volumes and fifty chapters, written by Xiong Damu. The earliest extant version is the Santaiguan edition of Yu Xiangdou of Jianyang Bookstore during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. This book begins with Emperor Taizong of the Song Dynasty sending his army to the Northern Expedition and Yang Jiye returned to the Song Dynasty, and ends with Mu Guiying's victory over the Tianmen Formation and the Twelve Widows' expedition to Xixia. It mainly tells the story of the famous Northern Song Dynasty general Yang Jiye and his descendants who bravely resisted the Liao Dynasty and defended their country. "The Generals of the Yang Family (Youth Edition) (Essence)" written by Xiong Damu is the earliest surviving novel in my country that describes the story of the Yang Family Generals. It not only successfully created the heroic image of several generations of Yang family generals headed by Yang Jiye, but also created the heroic image of a group of female generals of the Yang family headed by She Taijun. It was a groundbreaking breakthrough at the time. The book has a complete structure, vivid content, and ups and downs of the plot. The author believes that there are three main factors (or pillars of success) that are crucial to training boys to become men, namely education, character and life skills. Please keep these three factors in mind as you read this book. Using this knowledge and your own gifts as a woman and mother, you will help him grow into a wise man, a son you are proud to call a man.
