This book is a juvenile vernacular adaptation of "Water Margin" written by Shi Naian in the Ming Dynasty. The original work tells the heroic story of 108 heroes headed by Song Jiang in the late Northern Song Dynasty, who gathered in Liangshanpo, were recruited by the court, and then conquered the bandits and destroyed the rebel party. In the end, they were murdered by traitors. The full text of the book is adapted, retaining the story line of the original work, and on this basis, using modern vernacular, through compression and deletion, the essence is removed from the dross, and the parts that are not suitable for primary and secondary school students are removed. The book is rewritten into 50 chapters to present the main characters and classic storyline of the original work. The book is equipped with illustrations of "Water Margin" drawn by Du Jin, a famous painter of the Ming Dynasty, and colored to make the book layout exquisite and more ornamental. In addition, in order to meet the readers' needs for barrier-free reading, the book has processed the content, researched the original texts, and annotated and phoneticized important and difficult words to ensure barrier-free reading for young readers.
