This book is a youth vernacular adaptation of "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" written by Luo Guanzhong in the Ming Dynasty. The original book has 120 chapters, with Liu Bei, Cao Cao, Guan Yu, etc. As the main characters, telling the story from the Yellow Turban Uprising at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, when the heroes separated themselves, to the struggle for hegemony among the three kingdoms of Wei, Shu, and Wu, and finally to Sima Yan's unification of the three kingdoms and the establishment of the Jin Dynasty. The full text of this book is adapted, retaining the grand historical storyline of the original work, and using the novel language of modern vernacular on this basis, compressing, deleting, and rewriting it into 50 chapters, presenting the main characters and classic storyline. The book is equipped with colorful illustrations for "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" drawn by the famous modern painter Jin Xiezhong, making the book layout exquisite and more ornamental. In addition, in order to meet the readers' needs for barrier-free reading, the book has processed the content, researched the original texts, and annotated and phoneticized important and difficult words to ensure barrier-free reading for young readers.
