Of the forty chapters of "Jingshi Tongyan", more than ten are considered to be the scripts of the Song and Yuan Dynasties, focusing on the structure of the story; the rest are works from the Ming Dynasty, with more detailed and vivid descriptions. The content describes love, business life, and public case stories. The ideological outlook, hobbies, life scenes, etc. Of the citizen class are all vividly and naturally described, and the characters are lifelike. This book was edited and annotated by Mr. Yan Dunyi and published in 1956. This book was re-edited by Comrade Jiangyun, using the original photocopy of Jinling Jianshantang as the base, and the editions of Yanqingtang and Sanguitang. The annotations still use the masterpiece of Mr. Yan Dunyi, with only slight modifications in individual words.
