Mexico City, a small courtyard, has five rental houses named after tastes: sour, sweet, bitter, salty and umami, and is home to four families: House of Freshness - Alfonso - Anthropologist - his wife died of cancer, and he was accompanied by two dolls all day long; House of Bitterness - Marina - artist - anorexia, depression, lack of self-positioning - her Can invent colors; House of Acid - Pina - a 12-year-old girl - her parents are separated, her mother is absent from the family - she is discriminated against and isolated because of her Asian genes; House of Salt - Anna - a 12-year-old girl - her sister dies, and her mother chooses not to see Anna - she decides to open a field in the middle of the courtyard and sow corn, beans and pumpkins. Grief often disguises itself as eccentricity, teasing small humans in all its forms, with death, with anxiety, with fear, with prejudice and loss. On a rainy summer, reality and memory are intertwined, sorrow and sadness meet, and wonderful reactions quietly happen...
